Three things Thursday!

School days, School days.

Many of you have kids going back to school or are readying yourself for a return. How to handle this mad, crazy time? Organization is key.

1) Break down tasks into "chunks"

It's a busy time of year and it can get overwhelming pretty quickly. Don't try to do everything at once. Because 1) literally, you can't, 2) that's going to majorly stress you out. Try to break down big tasks like "getting everyone ready for school" into smaller ones and tackle one per day, like "Print out all the kid's school supply lists and go to Target".

2) Schedule a regular Backpack edit

There is a lot of "stuff" going into and out of your (or your kid's) backpack. It's important to keep it organized. I have little ones, and the amount of "crafts" coming home is enough to make your head spin, on a metal brad of course. Schedule a time to go through your backpack and weed out anything unnecessary. If you have older children, put a weekly alert on your phone to clean out backpacks at the same time every week.

3) Organize your workspace

Set aside a space at home where you or your child can work without interruption. Tidy it up after the work has been completed. Keep school supplies and technology such as calculators, tablets or laptops nearby.

Hope everyone has a great school year!

Peace, love, and labelmakers y'all!
