Three things Thursday!

So I LURVVVVE efficiency. And I have been recently working on a presentation at UAMS on office Organization and Productivity hacks, so I thought, ya know, since it's on the brain, we could chat about a few time hacks to make you more productive...in 3, 2, 1...go.

1) write down 3 goals that you will absolutely accomplish each day

Okay okay okay. I know. I have a thing with threes. BUT it's the perfect number to get things done. I usually write my next day's goals the night before in my notebook app (yes, the yellow dorky one that comes with your I-phone). Three is great number because it's doable. And they MUST be accomplished. And it feels OHSOGOOD to check them right off of your list.

2) the 2 minute rule

Tasks and minor interruptions happen all day long. But deciding if you need to accomplish these tasks immediately shouldn't take long at all. If a task can be done in under 2 minutes - do it. Do it right then. Don't give it a second thought. If it will take longer than 2 minutes, add to your to-do list (below your 3 day goals). Worst case scenario - you lose 2 minutes.

3) use templates

I have a template for everything. Re-using tried and true document or e-mail templates saves you a ton on prep-time when building documents.

Also related, store your passwords. If you use the interwebs, you probably have about 12 passwords that you cycle through. Use an app like lastpass to never have to type one in again.

I hope you all have a very productive day!

Peace, love, and labelmakers y'all!
